What an interesting weekend …

Friday I was feeling a lot better, and thought I might had finally kicked this crud, so I cancelled my dr’s appointment. (Ok, that was really STUPID!) Late Friday night, I started having violent coughs and have been coughing up all sorts of stuff since. (ew!) And now Jim’s got my cold, so he spent all weekend in bed or on the couch. Poor thing, I made a pot of chilli … but my sense of taste is still a bit dulled — so it came out WAY too spicy to eat. (this, coming from a Cajun!) hehe, so needless to say, I’m eating my “nasal passage clearing fire stuffed” chilli by my lonesome. It’s yummy.

I did get to update the Estrogen site though, even if just one section. I upgraded the links section by giving it its own search engine script. Now it will be a lot easier to update and maintain, as well as allow other people to browse easier and add their own links. (not to mention it’s a lot neater looking now!)

I also got to try out a new game lastnight. Tron 2.0 – LOVE IT! I highly recommend it.

Closing …

You know, I’ve had a lot of positive feedback and notes of encouragement since my announcement to close the SATUF site. It’s really something I’ve been wanting to do for a while as I now haven’t the time or resources to fully dedicate myself for quite a while. And to be honest, I’ve all but lost interest in it completely. Seeing as how I now have so many other projects going on, I guess it was only a matter of time, plus factoring in a busy work schedule and home life.

This was all so much easier when I was single with no kids … funny how that is.

Ok, I left work early Monday because I was too sick to stay, stayed out Tuesday. I’m somewhat better, but feeling extremely weak and am coughing up all sorts of interestingly colored “fluids.” My body is sore all over from coughing. Funny thing is, my eyes won’t stop watering … they’re all red, and when I came back to work, my boss told me that I looked “high.”

Jessie and I put up Halloween decorations yesterday, and we decorated her bedroom with crepe paper streamers, fake skeletons and bats, and lots of Halloween-themed drawings. I need to get started on her Halloween costume. She wants to be a kitty.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again …

… being sick sucks! I was fine all day yesterday, woke up at 4am this morning with a sore throat, chills, and throbbing head / achy body. AND ON A MONDAY TOO!

Time to bring the ole ‘Green Death’ out of retirement so I can get some sleep tonight and hopefully shake this crud off.

I sat down and re-wrote Obliviaxe’s fan site. After 4 hours of coding, re-coding, and quick image do-ups, I’m pleased to unveil the High Energy Fan Club website.

Yup, I’m pretty proud. It’s simplistic, but does everything I need it to do. *BUT* I will more than likely add a lot more to it in the near future. You know me, I can never leave anything *alone*, now can I?

Hello World!

Welcome to my first blog (taken from “web log”) by Blogger. I set this up to take over where my old SATUF mailing list leaves off. I realize that this is not as convenient to some — quite a few people would still prefer to get an email from me rather than to hunt down this blog and read it. But this is my blog, not yours.

Anyways, I will try to keep this thing updated as much as possible, and will most likely incorporate it into my website in a few weeks when I unveil the new format.

It’s funny, most people use their blog for making any and every thought that crosses their mind available to the public … that appeals to me. Sometimes I have something that I want to say, but I may not feel like composing a whole newsletter in order to share it with the digital world.

Here’s to hopes that I am able to update this page as often as I do my virus updates for BYKYC.
