It’s just one of those things that you knew would happen, but didn’t want it to … former President Ronald Reagan passed away today. I was out on the golf course with Jim today, and heard the news as we were leaving the Wildwood RTJ course.

I’ve been listening to several different people commenting on his life and presidency. I find it ironic how the liberals were saying the very same things about Reagan back then as they are about Bush now.

My deepest and heartfelt condolences go out to the Reagans. He was, in my own opinion, a good man, and a great President. While it’s sad that he finally passed on, it is (I’m sure) something of a relief to his family members. Having had family with Alzheimer’s disease myself, it’s hard to not being able to say goodbye to your loved one even though they’re still “here.”

Ronald Reagan was an American hero, and he’ll be missed. I’m drinking to you tonight, Ronnie. Rest peacefully.
