I will keep this short as I’m too exhausted to post all of the details:

I will be offline for the next week and a half at least. Jim woke me up around 1am this morning, he was trying to get out of the bed and went downstairs. Something told me something was wrong … I followed him downstairs and immediately saw that he was in extreme pain and couldn’t breathe. He was pale and his lips and fingers were blue. So I got Jessie up and dressed and got him and myself dressed and I raced to Brookwood Hospital.

Long story short: he has bloodclots in both lungs, and had I not woken up, he could have died within a short time. His mother’s side of the family has a history of blood clots and tomorrow the hospital will be scanning him to see if they can figure out where the clots came from. He’s in the Intensive Care Unit now, and will mostly likely be there through tomorrow afternoon — if things improve, he will be moved to a private room. However, he will be in the hospital for at least 7-8 days, and so I will not be here. Please email me if you want/need anything and I will try to answer when I can.

All day today I have paced and prayed. I am scared and even though the doctor is saying that his chances are good that he will be fine, there is that small chance that things could go south … tonight will tell.
