I smurfed this from kR8ViTy over at the PC forums — thought it was really cute and wanted to share with y’all.
(Though for the record I want to state that I dearly love my soon-to-be mother-in-law and this is all in good fun! *polishes halo*)
A man, his wife, and his mother-in-law went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there, the mother-in-law passed away. The undertaker told them, “You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here in the Holy Land for $150.00
The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home.
The undertaker asked, “Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your mother-in-law home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $150?”
The man replied, “Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. I just can’t take that chance”.

Browse the MonstersGame: Vampires vs Werewolves (UK) website with ease conveniently from the Firefox browser menu. Menu options available for World 1, 2, 3 and 4 players, as well as the forum, news, and support links in addition to other resources. This is a must-have tool for died-in-the-wool MonstersGame junkies.
Note: You need to have an active account on Server 1, 2, 3, or 4 in order to access the in-game pages. Once installed, you will see a new menu option in your Firefox browser menu called ‘MG’. For in-game play, use the options in the sub-menu appropriate to the server where your account is located.
A big thanks goes to: Tommelchen for his help in making this extension possible, the MonstersGame forum users who have helped out with ideas and testing, my clan members for inspiration and advice, and YOU!

I was hoping for phenomenal news this week, but didn’t get it. A potential situation that I was hoping for fell through and most likely won’t happen at all. Oh well, life moves on.
Jim and I had bought Bonnie Raitt tickets for his mother for her birthday last month. The concert is this Saturday in Pelham, and her beau won’t be able to go … so she invited me. To tell you the truth, I was hoping to go because I’ve always loved Bonnie Raitt and really wanted to go see her.
So at least that’s one good thing going on this week.
Hobie is doing MUCH better — a big thanks to all who’ve expressed concern and support. I really appreciate it. Ever since going on the mega antibiotics, she’s almost back to her old self — whining, pouting, begging, and all! *LOL* She’s sounding and acting more like she was before she got sick — though I’m afraid I’ve spoiled her (more than usual) with all the rich food I had bought to hide her medicine in.
I hate to disappoint her when it’s time to come off the meds and go back to her regular food.
I found out that I had a few more vacation days available at work than previously thought. I’ve been busting my ass for the last few months (more so than usual, even), and I’m quickly burning out. I’ve requested to take a few days off and might do so next week. I found myself losing my temper with another employee I’ve had problems with and was two steps away from walking out.
Honestly, I’ve quit better jobs than this … I *so* need another job.
I’m finding myself wishing my Ladies Night Out group was meeting this week, I think I need a drink. In fact, that sounds like a pretty good idea. I’ll go home tonight and have myself a few. Jim’s ex has Jessie tonight, and I’m in dire need of a “drink and code pity party”. LOL I have a CD full of new WordPress template ideas that I started but hadn’t had time to finish.
Or maybe I’ll play a little UT instead … killing aliens and robots always makes me feel better.
(That reminds me … Jocelyn: I need to know which CSI disks you need! :))

I’m not sure what was worse … that we lost today (to Arkansas!) or that I wasn’t at home watching it like a loyal Bama fan.
I’m a bad girl, I know.
I listened to the last few minutes and both overtimes via radio on the way to my Ladies Night Out Meetup. Was very disappointed in Tiffin’s performance. Hopefully next week he’ll stop shankin’ — or Christiansen will be healed enough to be back in. *sigh*
Anyways, at least dinner was good. Had a LOT of fun, the apple martinis were nice and puckerifiously sour! The food was excellent, and the location made for a great gathering (and after-dinner lingering in the park area outside!).
Maybe one day I’ll convince Jim to go to one with me.
(Hey, T!! You should join us some time, you’d love these ladies, they’re nice!!!!)

I fired off an email to their Support team earlier today, per Carl’s suggestion. I poured through my settings and made sure that I had everything marked as it should be (to my best understanding).
I was reading through some of the material in the generic auto-reply I received from Google and a byline on one of the pages hit me:
“Currently, notifications only include events on your primary calendar. You won’t be notified about events scheduled on your secondary calendars or on calendars listed under “Other calendars.” If you’d like notifications for certain events, make sure to schedule those events on your primary calendar.”
Great … so in order to be notified of events on my other calendars, I need to combine them all. Now what about ones from other sources to which I am subscribed?
*beats head on desk*
I remember now why I hate Google Calendar.
