I pulled a Bridezilla

Due to unforeseeable events that have arisen this past week, it seems our wedding will be delayed. I’m not at liberty to share details, but it has a great deal to do with Jim’s ex.

I’m NOT happy about it in the least… in fact, I blew the fsck up — repeatedly. I was down right ugly to poor Jim and said a few choice words to his ex over the phone. I’ve cried, I’ve thrown fits, I’ve cursed and yelled … I’m feeling a little better today though (despite feeling a little sick over the weekend and having a migraine yesterday).

Looking on the bright side of things, at least we will have more time to plan, but we don’t know yet what the new date will be. Jim wants to move the date into the fall, but I refuse to have my wedding during football season. We won’t know for a few weeks how soon we can re-plan and/or pick a new (earliest) date.

    Oh honey….on one hand, I know how much THAT DATE meant to you, and how you’d planned on it, and I’m so sorry for your disappointment.

    On the other hand…..this means I could very possible BE THERE!!!!

    The original date is Aaron’s birthday, and I could never disappoint the wee tyke, even for you.

    So….when’s football season start? And btw, I’m invited to a wedding in Oklahoma, Labor Day weekend. I know that seems light years away from you, but to ME? Right next door :)

    It’s all gonna work out, I just know it.

    I don’t blame you….I’d still be in my Bridezilla mode. I hope everything works out so that she doesn’t cause anymore trouble.

    It’s just time Nita, things’ll work out, just wait and see.
    I have a very personal way of dealing with things that are not in my control.
    “i have enough trouble worrying about things i CAN influence, if i also have to worry about things i CAN’T influence, i’ll go mental!”
    Of course that’s easier said then done, but it’s made my life at least a little easier.

    Things happen for a reason, you may not see it now, but when it is all said and done you will look back and say that is the reason it didn’t happen when I wanted it to happen.
