"Sanctum"

Seeing that red, white, and blue banner leaves a lump in my throat.  Hearing "The Star-Spangled Banner" brings tears to my eyes.  Everywhere, you see flags on houses, stickers and flyers all over cars, signs in business windows and in their stores.

The attack of 9-11 left such a deepened wound in America, leaving us to proudly cling to our citizenship and display our pride with such gusto ... something that has not been seen in any of my years on this earth.

I love my home, my sanctuary, my country ... and it's good to see that my neighbor does too.

I just hope this unified pride will be remembered and continued by tomorrow's generation.
