Lordi, Lordi, What’s going on?

I swear, everytime I sit down to blog, I’m interrupted. :P

Oh well, I’ll live. I had actually wanted to sit and rant about a few things last weekend, but have since cooled off, and I’m in too good of a mood today to ruin it. :)

After a lot of study and consideration, I reopened the coven site last week. But it will pretty much serve as an online archive from now on. I simply don’t have the time or resources to do more with it now, but that’s all good I think.

I’ve been amusing myself during my lunch breaks by watching various videos from Google Video on my Google page. I ran across one, it was by the Finnish winners of the Eurovision song contest, Lordi, called ‘Hard rock hallelujah‘. I had heard this song on Hard Radio the other night and it was buggin’ me because I couldn’t remember the artist’s name. This *so* reminds me of the stuff I used to listen to in high school and college, and they look like a cross between GWAR and Rob Zombie. In fact, the lead singer reminds me (in the video anyways) of Big Jim of Obliviaxe. *grins*

Anyways, I’ve been diggin’ on that a lot lately. Not much else is happening, but I may post more personal things later.

Geeky me

Work’s been really busy all week, so I haven’t had a whole lot of spare time to do much playing … though I did a few hours of Bloodlines in today. :D

Oh, and speaking of vampire RPG’s, I wanted to give a quick shout out to my best bud ‘Big Jim’ and congrats for being crowned Prince of Birmingham this weekend. (LARP) I’m gonna try my best to make it out and take some snapshots. :)

I feel bad because I’ll be missing tomorrow’s Alabama game. I had made plans to go see it at a friend’s but she had something come up and can’t host it. :( *sniff* Roll Tide.

I was supposed to have a doctor’s appointment today, but I canceled it. (I know, I know … don’t start) I’ve been having really horrible side pains, and had a hard time breathing Wednesday at work. The pains have subsided for the most part, but I did wake up for a short bit last night with them. Otherwise I’ve felt a lot better, so I decided to cancel the appointment for now but did tell the dr’s office that I planned on rescheduling regardless … I am probably due for a checkup.

Oh, regarding the title of this post (I am so easily side-tracked, LOL) … anyways, Jim and I stopped by CompUseless on the way home. He needed a new keyboard and I decided to stroll through the mice. I’ve used the old optical Intellimouse since it came out and haven’t found another that I’ve liked. I didn’t see much of anything I liked, and was on my way up to the front to join Jim at the registers when I saw this: Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000. It’s basically a modernized version of my old beloved mouse. In fact, it has the front/back buttons on both sides — just the way I like them! (As opposed to both buttons being on the left, which I absolutely abhor.)

I brought that puppy home and plugged it up immediately. It’s a LOT smoother than my old optical and doesn’t blind me when I pick it up to look at the bottom. LOL The only thing that I can find that bothers me (however minute) is that the button on the left is too high for my thumb to reach. I have short fingers, so I’m having to either use my index finger to reach it, or slide my hand up — which is no biggie, but hey, you know me. ;)

Anyways, I’m finishing up dinner now and think I might curl up with a movie. I’m exhausted, and will need to be up early tomorrow.

Oh, and before I forget … I found the last piece of my Halloween costume today. We stopped by Wal-mart for something and they had a bunch of Star Wars stuff out, and one of the toys was a blaster that spews silly string!!! I looked at it, grinned at Jim, and said “That is SO ME!”

hehehehe … oh yeah, Halloween is gonna be fun.

I know it’s a full moon…

Interesting weekend … well, sort of.

Friday I had the webhost drama, plus earlier that afternoon Jim and I had a fight. oh the joy

It’s almost a full moon, and you know what that means … (shut up Matthew :P) … mood swings, wild cravings, and hormone flashes. Or, as a friend of mine likes to call them, “Power Surges.”

I’m so happy to be a woman, I could just throw up.

hehe, I know, I know … more information than you needed. (Right Ben? ;))

Anyways, Saturday I was pretty lazy. I did a little cleaning around the house, but spent most of the day watching football. (ROLL TIDE!)

Yesterday Jim played a little golf and I cleaned a little more … even cleaned off my desk and unpacked a few boxes I had in storage. I normally hate cleaning that crap out, but this I enjoyed because they were full of miscellaneous memorabilia. Lots of stuffed animals and trinkets I had collected from various places, gifts from loved ones, notebooks of poetry and songs I had written years ago. (mostly college and early-MACESS stuff) A lot of it was stuff I thought I had lost, but am now glad that I hadn’t.

I spent yesterday evening finishing up the first theme for the new Obliviaxe fan club page. I’ll hopefully have another done next weekend. I need to get on Big Jim about getting some newer stuff to me so I can put up some new pix, buttons, and other goodies, as well as update the shop. (And I want one of the new CDs, you fat bastard! :D)

I love being productive …
