The Wedding


Checklist / Timeline:
Chose wedding date. — Postponed — FINAL Wedding Date chosen.
Found and bought wedding dress.
Wedding theme chosen: Asian, emphasis on Japanese.
Wedding colors chosen: White/Crimson. (Roll Tide!)
Picked out a ceremony location: The Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Booked clergy for ceremony: Brother Carl.
Picked out reception location: Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites.
Bought and picked up wedding rings.
Found and ordered Jessie’s Flower Girl dress.
Bought my wedding jewelry.
Chosen attendants (best man and maid of honor).
Major portion of honeymoon booked.
FINALLY found a pair of shoes I liked.
(Ok, so they’re not combat boots … but I’ll deal
)
Mailed out the invitations. Even received a few RSVPs, LOL.
Had bridal session (portraits) done. (And admired future hubby’s nice new suit. RAWR!)

Did you know?
The honeymoon originated from an old Germanic custom of drinking a mixture of honey and mead for a “moon’s age,” (thirty days). The Germans also believed that newlyweds ought to have a time to enjoy the pleasures of married life without interruptions.
